Rest Days

Question: I’m keen to get going on my program, but I see all these rest days – won’t that stop my momentum?

Answer: Rest days are an important part of the training program. Our bodies need to recover from the exertion they’ve been placed under (especially if you’re a beginner!). The true measure of fitness lies in the quickest ability to recover to our resting heart rate. We need to train ourselves to recover in order to measure this. Recovery also allows our muscles fibers to do the necessary repair work that they require which eventually makes them stronger.
