There’s something about running. Something inexplicable. I love it. I live for it. It excites me. It energizes me. My heart surges. My blood pumps. I find myself in my own world. A wonderful world.

Walking has developed into a serious sport and can no longer be compared to the stroll to the shops or in the park. We now have the following:

  • Beginner walking – To just get out and about. First attempt to reach the 10,000 steps per day for basic healthy activity level.
  • Speed walking – Light endurance training which is more athletic oriented and has potential weight loss benefits.
  • Power walking – With the full body benefit.
  • Nordic Walking – For the athletic enthusiasts who’d like to try something new with a challenge.

By speed walking it is possible for everyone to benefit from doing good things to maintain your health and figure. It is a great stress reliever and endorphin-releaser.

Our program can start with walking and then lead to this ‘flight of freedom’.

It is divided into five broad steps, paced at the individual’s ability and requirement.

It is not a requirement for the program to lead to running – walking alone is just as rewarding & beneficial.

Walking is a sport which is increasing in popularity as well seriousness. It is considered “lighter” and possibly better for joints and bones long term than running. It is suitable for most people regardless of any athletic history or not. This makes it suitable for everyone – including beginners, the elderly and overweight people!
